Our Spaders feature a 3 speed gearbox with lever to quickly shift to different speeds. The gearbox has speeds of 145, 166 & 191 R.P.M. These Spaders are a vertical tillage implement, as the spades dig straight down and then turns the soil. The ground is then aerated to an approximate depth of 12 inches. Spaders are a very effective tool for deep digging hard soils without intermixing subsoil with the top soil. They produce loose texture soil that holds moisture and reduces erosion.
