The brush is fed through two hydraulic driven pick-up feed rotors into the processing chamber. The large 20" diameter rotor with fixed triple tipped tungsten carbide knives shreds the brush against six rows of drop forged re-cutter bars into finer material. This mulch is then forced through a fine mesh heavy steel screen. To complete the finishing operation we recommend the Gearmore Orchard Tiller with rear roller to bury the fine mulch 2 to 3 inches deep.

Certain crops produce very high quantities of prunings. This can cause big problems when it is time to mulch them. Burning is often illegal and is always bad for the environment. The Pick-Up Mulcher provides a perfect solution. Picking up the prunings with a pick-up rotor at ground level and hydraulic adjustable upper feed rotor. The prunings are then shredded within a hood to produce a fine and uniform mulch. This results in biodegradation, just one cultivation cycle. Mulches wood up to 8" and occasionally larger diameters.

This Flail Shredder has a unique hydraulic side shift system that moves horizontally on front and rear mounted heavy steel tubes. This is achieved by a number of special features such as - high tensile steel hood, internal hood replaceable "Hardox" wear plates, replaceable drop forged re-cutter bars and large 150 horsepower gearbox. The adjustable rear hatch can be closed for maximum shredding or open for maximum speed up to 6 M.P.H.
